Overview

Universities are required to obtain academic accreditation, whatever their size or specialty. In every case, the university library plays a vital role in documenting that the institution meets the requirements to obtain such accreditation, be it institutional or on program level. In this regard, a self-evaluation report – sometimes known as a self-study report – is the first step in the process of objectively tracking, assessing and evaluating the eligibility of the university for accreditation based on the functionality of its departments and units, and especially of its library system.

In this context, and in line with the strategic partnership between King Abdulaziz University (KAU) – represented by the Deanship of Library Affairs – and Naseej Academy, the Deanship hosted a webinar, “The Role of University Libraries in Developing Self-Evaluation Reports:  An Analytical Vision”
