Metadata enables documents and resources to be described in such a way that users can access them easily and seamlessly. Having a large number of metadata standards enables metadata to be shared and exchanged across different users and system administrators, in addition to building up specific or general collections of documents and resources. However, this requires a good knowledge of the basic rules applicable to developing and designing the standards.
This webinar aims to update participants on the theoretical knowledge and practical skills needed to design and develop a metadata standard to be used for describing resources.
