Overview

Universities across the world, including in the Arab region, are today endeavoring to obtain academic accreditation as a top priority. Academic accreditation is a key tool for ensuring that a university’s entire academic and research process is of the highest quality, and that its performance as measured by a range of indicators places it high among its peers.
The self-evaluation report – also called a self-study report – is a crucial stepping-stone along the road towards academic accreditation. The report is the result of certain processes used to objectively monitor, evaluate and assess the status quo of all the university’s component units, and especially its library system.
In line with its strategic partnership with Princess Nourah Bint Abdulrahman University, represented by the Deanship of Library Affairs, Naseej Academy organized an online webinar on this topic, which was moderated by Naseej Academy general supervisor Prof. Dr. Abdallah Metwally. The webinar, held on Sunday, April 19, 2020, was entitled: “The University Library Self-Evaluation Report: Between Selfie Shot's Credibility & Magic Mirror’s Deception”.
