 Naseej Academy Successfully Concludes its Webinar "Reconfiguring the 21st Century Academic Library Space"

Naseej Academy has successfully concluded its webinar on Tuesday, September 19, 2017, entitled: "Reconfiguring the 21st Century Academic Library Space", moderated by Prof. Dr. Marta Mestrovic Deyrup, Professor/Head of Technical Services at Seton Hall Universities Libraries, South Orange, N.J., U.S.A. 
She is Editor of the book “Creating the High-Functioning Library Space: Expert advice from Architects and Librarians [ABC Clio/Libraries Unlimited, 2017]”, and a frequent presenter at ALA, ACRL and national and international conferences.

The webinar covered the following key themes:
  • New trends in library redesign, with a special focus on case studies.
  • Getting buy-in from your stakeholders (the university higher administration, faculty, students and the staff) before taking action.
  • Incorporating environmentally sound practices into your redesign.
  • Incorporating technology for today and beyond.
 The webinar attracted significant participation by librarians and information specialists from various libraries and information centers across the Arab world.

The webinar featured considerable interaction between participants and the moderator who answered their various questions and queries with live demos. 

Finally, they expressed their satisfaction with the webinar through their emails and social media comments. 

From his part, Professor Dr. Abdallah H. Metwally - Naseej Academy supervisor - extended his thanks to participants and called on them to register in future webinars and other Naseej Academy events. He also expressed his appreciation of the webinar moderator and her efforts, stressing the Academy's interest to cooperate with her in future events.
