Eng. Abdullah Al-Tarifi, co-founder and Executive Vice President of Naseej, and Prof. Dr. Abdallah Hussein Metwally, Naseej Academy General Supervisor participated in the work shop, which attracted a large number of leaders of academic institutions from around the Arab world.

Participating institutions included, among others: King Abdulaziz University, KSA; The British School of Bahrain; Notre Dame University-Louaize (NDU), Lebanon; and, from the United Arab Emirates, Higher Colleges of Technology, the Federal Authority for Nuclear Regulation (FANR), the Department of Culture and Tourism, and the Department of Education and Knowledge.

The workshop was led by Jan Wilkinson and Roger Fielding. Most of them stated that they added to their knowledge of the latest concepts in leadership as related to academic libraries, such as the three most significant leadership blind spots and the top three “must win” professional strategic priorities. By the conclusion of the workshop, they had a clear roadmap for building a high-performing team within their own academic library.
Engineer Abdullah Al-Tarifi expressed his gratitude to the elite leaders from the Arab world’s knowledge and academic sector for their attendance and active participation in the workshop. He also extended his thanks and appreciation to the workshop managers, and encouraged all participants to contribute ideas and suggestions for future workshops and upcoming events organized by the Academy.

Prof. Dr. Abdalla thanked the attendees for their participation. He also thanked Ms. Wilkinson and Mr. Fielding for their practical and professional management of the workshop. He reiterated the Academy’s commitment and contribution to supporting the capabilities of senior leaders in academic libraries through its capacity-building training programs and other activities that aim to keep pace with future trends.
