Naseej Academy has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with the Kingdom of Bahrain’s Isa Cultural Center as part of its efforts to strengthen cooperation with institutions working in the field of libraries, information and knowledge management. The formal meeting at which the MoU was signed coincided with Bahrain’s National Day celebrations.
Signatories to the MoU were Prof. Dr. Abdallah Hussein Metwally, General Supervisor of Naseej Academy, and H.E. Dr. Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa Al-Khalifa, Vice Chairman of the Board of Trustees and Executive Director of Isa Cultural Center, in the presence of H.E. Dr. Mansour Mohammed Sarhan, Director of the National Library of Bahrain, and Mr. Mohamed Hassan al-Gharib, Assistant Executive Director for Administrative Affairs.
The agreement is intended to enhance cooperation in practical and effective ways in the fields of information, knowledge, education, scientific research, training, and cultural development between the Academy and the Center. Both sides indicated that they valued the discussions that took place in order to reach the final MoU.
Naseej Academy is a non-profit initiative that seeks to support and develop the leadership of the information, knowledge and higher education sectors in the Arab world, by offering a comprehensive range of courses, workshops and continuing education programs in cooperation with local, regional and international organizations.
